We put working robots on real floors.

Not demo videos, not trade-show footage. BOTHAUS sells humanoid, quadruped and service robots the way industrial equipment should be sold: bench-tested before dispatch, documented unit by unit, and supported by people who have run the same machines on the same kind of floor.

01 — Why we exist

The gap between a great demo and a machine that survives a Monday shift.

BOTHAUS started because buying a robot in 2024 was a strange experience. The platforms were real. The specifications were real. What was missing was anyone willing to answer the boring questions.

What happens when a knee actuator fails in month fourteen, who pays the freight, how long until a replacement lands, and who picks up the phone at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday.

So we built the boring part first. A bench large enough to cycle a humanoid for two days straight. A parts shelf with the six assemblies that account for most downtime. A test record per unit, signed by the engineer who ran it. Only then did we start selling anything.

Today we source platforms from the manufacturers actually shipping them, integrate them into customer sites, and keep them running afterwards. We are a distributor, an integrator and a service organisation — in that order, because that is the order in which customers need them.

If a cheaper machine does the job, we will tell you and sell you that instead. A robot that fails on your floor costs us more in reputation than the margin is worth.

Standing rule, since day one
2024

Founded in Austin with one bench and two platforms on the floor.

2025

Rotterdam hub opens. EU delivery drops to five working days.

2026

Field service in four US states and a stocked parts shelf in both regions.

02 — What we do

Three jobs, one supply chain.

Most resellers stop at the invoice. These three run in sequence, and the last one is the reason the first two are worth anything.

01

Source

We buy direct from the platforms that are actually shipping, hold finished units in Austin and Rotterdam, and handle import duty, documentation and delivery in the quoted price.

  • Duty and freight included
  • Units in stock, not on backorder
  • Serial-numbered test record per unit
02

Integrate

A robot on a pallet is a liability. We map your station, validate the task on a mock-up in our lab, then run a shadow period before the machine touches real work.

  • Station survey and takt measurement
  • Safety checklist walked with your team
  • Two weeks of shadow mode, on purpose
03

Support

The parts that wear are on a shelf in the region you bought from. Field engineers are on the road, not on another continent, and repairs are logged against the unit's test record.

  • Actuators and batteries held locally
  • Loaner within five business days
  • Two trained operators per deployment
03 — How we work

Four steps, about ninety days.

The steps do not compress well — the two everyone wants to skip are the two that decide whether utilisation holds up in month three.

  1. 01

    Scope

One task, measured in numbers: payload, distance, cycle time, shift pattern. If the scope document has no numbers, the pilot will end in an argument about whether it succeeded.

  2. 02

    Validate

The robot performs the task on a mock-up of your station in our lab. Shelf depth, conveyor height and floor transitions get found here, where they are cheap to fix.

  3. 03

    Shadow

Two weeks of running alongside your team without touching the workflow. This is where interruption data comes from, and interruptions are what kill utilisation.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Supervised operation, two trained operators, a printed runbook and a named escalation path. Only then does the pilot become a deployment.

04 — Principles

Four rules we do not bend.

They cost us deals. They are also why customers come back with a second order.

01

Say the inconvenient thing

If a platform is wrong for your task, you hear it before the invoice, not after.

02

Publish the numbers

Bench hours, stop logs, lead times. Customers get the same figures we use internally.

03

Stock what we sell

A reseller that cannot ship a knee actuator in 24 hours is a broker, not a partner.

04

One engineer, start to finish

The person who signs the test record is the person you call when something moves.

05 — The bench

Where every unit earns its shipping label.

Our Austin facility holds the bench, the mock workstations and the spare-parts shelf. It is also where customer demos happen — with your payload, on a floor that is not a showroom.

06 — Who you talk to

Three roles, no account managers.

Nobody at BOTHAUS is paid to forward your email. The first reply comes from someone who can actually answer the question.

Applications engineer

Reads your floor plan, shortlists platforms, tells you when the answer is a wheeled base instead.

Field engineer

Runs the bench cycle, signs the test record, then travels to your site for the install.

Supply & logistics
